Blogger Bandwagon

Alright, I did it. After almost a year of going back and forth with the idea and having excuse after excuse, I finally sat down on my couch, pulled out my laptop, and bit the bullet. I'm hoping this blog will serve as a creative outlet for my crafts, DIY, school projects, home decor, maybe a wedding plan or two, and short stories on what makes my life interesting to me.

Behind the name.
One of the major obstacles I used as an excuse to delay my starting a blog was the name. I toyed with a few ideas, but never had anything that really stuck out to me. I can't do any fun twists on my own name and didn't want my blog to be name-specified to only one type of post (such as Craft Girl!). My love of art and creativeness comes from my mother and grandmother. Both natural, creative women who I owe my love of crafts too. I wanted a way to honor them and make that connection. I experimented with My Mother's Daughter, but it wasn't perfect. Then, one day on the radio I heard the "oldie but goodie"
Mama Said by The Shirelles.

And surely, there are days like this. There are good days, bad days, days so perfect you want to do them over again, and days you don't wanna wake up.

Mama said, hey, don't you worry.
